How to Fish?
Fishing is a gathering skill where players try to catch fish in any body of water in the game. To start fishing, a player must equip a fishing rod, stand close to a body of water and throw out the fishing lure.
After a short amount of time, the fishing bob will move up and down, signalling that a fish bit the hook and can be reeled in. By pressing and releasing the left-mouse button the player will try to reel the fish in.
Fantastic Fishes And Where To Find Them
Fishing can be done throughout the entire Albion world, and there are two types of fishing: freshwater fishing and saltwater fishing. Rivers, lakes, puddles and all water bodies found on dry land are classified as freshwater. On the other hand, saltwater will only be available near the ocean.
The best fishing spots are the ones where you can find fish schools.
Tips and Suggestions..
- Use Fishing gear to get extra yield.
- Quality of the fishing rod actually matters (increases reel speed).
- Use food: As of Queen Patch 9 (April 2020), food such as pies also give a bonus to fishing.
- Wear escape build when fishing in high tier zones.
- You can eat your fish to level up quicker.
- Use seaweed to make fish sauce, which sells for a lot.
- Fill T7 Fishing Journals, for additional silver. Unlike other gathering, catching any tier of fish will fill the books.
